Permalink Reply by Kenneth Bremer on December 31, 2010 at 9:38am Yes it was a good year with many new releases and lots of reissue of the classic albums....
3 highlights from 2010 could be:
Peter Johansson - "Inta Utan Dig"
Soul Cowboys - "American Style"
Richard Page "Peculiar Life"
and especially great to see State Cows with such an original album...
Lets hope that 2011 will continue the trend :-)
Happy New Year

Permalink Reply by Mikael Engström on January 11, 2011 at 12:34am A year that give you releases like,
Mr.Mister "PULL" and Richard Page "Peculiar Life" is something special.
Therefore, these two are without a doubt the best to albums to have been released in 2010.
But I also have to say Kere Buchanan" Starting Over"
Kere is defenitely on the list, way to go Kere !!!!
Now another decade has passed. Time Flies as Robben Ford sings on the album "Love's A Heartache" from 1983. But can we sum up the whole decade in any way? This may just be my own desire, but it seems like much interest has been brought to life just the last five years around Westcoast. Many of the great pioneers are once again back. We have Richard Page, Bill LaBounty, Robbie Dupree, Bill Champlin, and not least Jay Graydon and Randy Goodrum, with brand new releases. And new artists like Peter Friestedt, Ole Borud and State Cows showing us the way for Westcoast with a modern twist. It feels like we have a new wave going over us, and I really hope for an equally interesting decade. I do not know what caused it. But I guess the internet and a forum like this, helps more than you think. Just look at the visitors who find their way here each month. Thank you for this Bengt, and you guys at Blue Desert. You're doing a great job!
My vote for the best album 2010 also goes to Richard Page. "Pull" and "Peculiar Life".. wow!
