Biography

Tom has collaborated as writer and musician with many producers and artists, such as: David Foster, Burt Bacharach, Peter Allen, George Benson, Kenny Rogers, Patti La Belle, Chicago, Al Jarreau, Patti Austin, Jermaine Jackson, Chaka Kahn, Barbara Streisand, and Celine Dion. Tom Keane has been awarded a Grammy nomination for Though The Fire, for which he co-wrote with David Foster and Cynthia Weil (You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling) and a Golden Globe nomination for The Secret of My Success soundtrack. The song Will You Still Love Me, recorded by Chicago, and co-wrote by Tom Keane, David Foster and Richard Baskin, became a number one hit and has well over a million broadcast performances. In 2007, Tom decided to re open his father’s record company, Del-Fi as DMG-Del-Fi Music Group.

By the way, is there anyone who has information about who wrote what song on their second album "Taking Off"(not yet released on cd)?

Comment by Tony Onstad on May 31, 2009 at 5:31pm: oh yeah..and "One Thing On My Mind"(written by Foster and Paich).It's really dated,but who cares?--it's got that chunky-funky groove goin' for it,and how often did Paich and Foz collaborate?(not often).I heard that those guys had ego clashes every now & then.

Tatsuro songs from L.A. compilation.. (and his solo albums too)
Also he has been revealed his abilities of other talents
As a songwriter and producer...devoted to westcoast scene

Comment by Tony Onstad on May 27, 2009 at 5:12pm: This guy is jokingly(and condescendingly) referred to as "Mini-Foz",although ironically,he is carrying on the sound that Foster has(more or less) abandoned for a more "shiny" & radio-friendly sound,IMO.Hey,Foster's still the King(or maybe it's Graydon,or whomever you prefer),but personally,'78-'90 are still my overall favorite years for Westcoast.Anybody have any favorite Keane productions?Hey,man,I just got outta the hospital,and recuperating,so since I'm flat on my ass for a coupla days,I thought I'd start a group!LOL!Obvious faves of mine--Through The Fire,Lovin' Every Moment(With You),Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone,One Step Over The Borderline,Long Way From Loneliness.
