Review: Ole Børud - Keep Movin

Ole Børud - Keep Movin

Ole Børud - Keep Movin Ole has done it again, and made it better... Completely incredible how talented this man is. I was speechless with admiration as I listened to the CD the first time. Unable to select any song as a favorite, just listen to the CD from start to finish and enjoy. To name a few songs, "Keep Movin" with a wonderful bass and sweet "Broken People" like cotton for the ears. Then the nice "She's Like No Other" is a tribute to all mothers! Buy, Buy, Buy, Highly Recommended 10/10

Well, I have been listen to it for some days now and I think that "Shakin ..." was better. On this album you can recognize the influences a little too much. I also think that the choruses doesn't "shine" as much as they do on "Shakin... The best tracks so far are "She's like no other", "Keep Movin", "High Time" and "Broken People". Maybe I change my mind after some more listening.

Fantastic album! I've listened to it a bit too much already. Whenever I drive in my car the CD is on. Like the previous album there are a few tracks that are a bit boring and weak. For me it was "She's like no other" and "Resting day" which I didn't like. But "Keep Movin", "High Time", "Broken People" "Rock Steady", "Souls In Chains" and "Step Into My Light" are all excellent tracks so they make up for the weak ones. Especially "Keep Movin" is awesome, and the guitarsolo on "High Time" totally blew me away.

Like the previous record the musicianship, arrangements, mixing, songwriting and groove are all top notch! The musicians are almost too tight. Made me a bit depressed actually. I didn't write any music for about a week 'cause I felt my music sounded so bland in comparison.

Excellent follow up to "Shaking The Ground", moving in right direction or better said refining the same concept - an array of different references mixed up and given his own Börud feel... with "a little" help from Jackie Kavan with lyrics!!

He's like no other!!
